ANIMAL SPIRITS
A term employed by John Maynard Keynes in one of his economics books. In his publication back in 1936, "The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money," the phrase "animal spirit" is employed to describe human emotion that reins over the consumer confidence. According to Keynes, the animal spirit also creates human trust.
