ANTICIPATION NOTE
A short-term obligation given for temporary financing needs of a municipality. The principal payoff may be paid through future taxes, longer-term bond issue or other forms of revenue. These notes generally will mature within a year or less and the interest may be paid at the maturity contrasting to those semi-annually.
