The manageable aspects of a retail space that persuades a customer to go inside the store, and which are designed to make an impact to the mood of the customer so as to heighten the chance that a purchase will be made. The atmospherics involves the store's decorations, layout, lighting, temperature and noise level. It is created to make a distinction between the store and its competitors in a positive manner. It is a part of the branding and imaging of companies.
