AUTOMATIC TRANSFER OF FUNDS
A standing banking arrangement wherein the transfers coming from an account of a customer are done on a periodic, regular basis without further action or instruction from the customer. The most usual automatic transfer of funds are done via "sweep" instructions, wherein all excess money in one account are transferred towards another account. This zero-balance account is most often rendered by corporations with numerous subsidiaries.
