AVAILABLE SEAT MILES - ASM
A measurement of the carrying capacity of an airplane which is availability to produce revenue. The available seat miles points to the number of seat mile which are actually ready for purchase on an airline. The seat miles are calculated by multiplying the number of miles that the plane will be flying within a specific flight by its available seats.
