AXE
It is the term that refers to the interest of a trader that s/he shows when buying or selling any kind of financial security. There are various reasons why a trader will have an interest in a financial security. For example, if a trader has short-term concerns but has a long position, his/her axe toward the short-term put options may be vital. This term is also used when referring to layoffs or job cuts.
