BANCASSURANCE
A arrangement wherein an insurance company and a bank forms a partnership so that the insurance company will be able to sell its products to the client base of the bank. This partnership arrangement may be profitable for both sides. Banks may gain extra revenue by selling the products of the insurance company. Meanwhile, insurance companies can increase their customer base even without expanding their sales force or pay commissions to insurance brokers or agents.
