BARCODE
A graphical symbol of the identifying information of a product formed with a two-dimensional pattern of white and black shapes. Barcodes can be read only by optical devices, such as a scanner or barcode reader, and are usually made up of parallel white and black lines. The barcodes are utilized to automate the transfer of the information of the product, price for one, from the product to an electronic system, like a cash register.
