BARINGS BANK
A British merchant bank which was established in 1762, and was acclaimed as the most stable and largest bank in the world for centuries. In 1995, Barings bank which was taken as oldest bank in Britain crumbled after not being able to meet the cash requirements after an unauthorized speculative trading in derivatives at its branch in Singapore by then-trader Nick Leeson.
