BASEL COMMITTEE ON BANK SUPERVISION
In 1974, the central bank governors of the Group of Ten countries established this committee, that aims to develop the supervisory guidelines that central banks or similar authorities dictates on both retail and wholesale banks. The committee creates banking policy rules for both member and non-member countries and helps authorities to administer its suggestions.
