BASEL ACCORD
Set of arrangements that provides recommendations on banking regulations relative to risks in capital, market, and operations. Set by the Basel Committee on Bank Supervision (BCBS), it seeks to ensure financial institutions have sufficient capital in their accounts to fulfill its obligations and absorb sudden losses.
