BASKET OF GOODS
To trace inflation in a particular market or country, a generally firm array of consumer services and goods appraised and used on an yearly basis is called basket of goods. The products in the basket are frequently changed periodically to account for changes in consumer habits. Computing the Consumer Price Index (CPI) is the main use of basket of goods.
