BELOW THE MARKET

A directive to buy or sell a security at the amount that is lower than the current market price. For example, a trader can put a limit order to buy a stock at a stated amount that is under the existing price. The order would only be filled if the stated amount or better was accessible. While order completion is not certain, establishing an order in this aspect, below the market, helps guarantee that the aimed price, or better, is acquired.

This can be also an amount or rate that is below than the latest existing conditions in an open market. Services or goods that are offered at a smaller amount than the "going," or typical, percentage can be said to be below the market.
