BUSINESS INTEREST EXPENSE
Cost of interest imposed on business loans used in operating a business. It is deductible like an ordinary business expense. The loan must be utilized to either acquire assets for the business or pay off business expenditures. If any amount of loan is not used for business, the amount of deductible interest must be deducted proportionately from the loan.
