BUYBACK RATIO
Amount of cash a firm paid for repurchasing its common shares over the previous year, and its market capitalization at the start of the buyback period. The ratio compares the possible impact of repurchases throughout various companies. It also serves as an indicator of a firm’s capacity to return value to its shareholders.
