CASH SURRENDER VALUE
Total money an insurance firm will pay to the annuity holder or policyholder should his policy is voluntarily cancelled ahead of its maturity or a certain event happens. The cash value is the savings portion of most permanent life insurance policies, specifically the entire life insurance policies. Also called cash value, policyholder’s equity, and surrender value.
