Professional designation awarded to individuals expert in investment management. To obtain this certification, one must complete the coursework and passed examinations administered by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). He must also meet the Institute for Certified Investment Management Consultants’ requirements on consulting and managed accounts, and comply with its investment ethics and continuous education requirements.
