Professional designation awarded to individuals specializing in alternative investments including hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, and real estate investment. To obtain this designation, individuals must have at least one-year experience, bachelor’s degree, and pass two levels of curriculum ranging from qualitative analysis, trading theories of alternative investments, indexation, and benchmarking. The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association gives this designation.
