CINS NUMBER
Extension to the CUSIP numbering system used to uniquely identify a certain security offered outside the United States and Canada. It is comprised of nine characters. Whether corporate or municipal, foreign securities are identified by a CINS number. CINS stands for CUSIP International Numbering System.
