Primary business source of a firm. It is comprised of the current customers paying for products or services, as well as individuals who might become potential customers. Businesses depend on this group for most of its sales, and focus on these individual for developing new advertising or products. Normally, it is defined using demographics including age, gender, or location, which may change over time.
