COLLATERAL VALUE
Estimated fair market asset value used as loan collateral. An eligible expert determines the value by appraisal. If publicly traded securities are used, the current securities’ price is the collateral value. But these securities are subject to margin requirement restrictions by the Federal Reserve Board.
