In retail, a buzzword meaning a firm comparing same-store sales. Done monthly, it compare the level of revenue growth or decline a company’s stores attain relative to the sales in past years. This metric allows investors to determine the component of the overall sales growth was from opening new stores. Also called comparable same-store sales.
