CONFESSION OF JUDGMENT
Written agreement stating the defendant accepts the liability and amount of damages agreed on. It is a way to circumvent standard court proceedings and avoid lengthy legal process in resolving a dispute. Once signed, the defendant loses his right to dispute a claim in the future.
