CONFIRMED LETTER OF CREDIT
Second guarantee which commits to payment of the letter of credit. It gives the highest degree of protection against default. Normally, the seller seeks to secure another guarantee to ensure payment if the issuing bank of the letter of credit has questionable reputation.
