CONSUMER CREDIT PROTECTION ACT OF 1968
Federal legislation which created disclosure requirements consumer lenders must follow. Consumer lenders include auto-leasing companies, banks, and credit card firms. The act requires consumer lender to inform consumers on annual percentage rates, total potential costs to the borrower, and any special or previously hidden loan terms.
