- Situation in which a creditor is forced to accept unlikely terms placed by a court in the event of bankruptcy or reorganization.
- Merger or acquisition with inimical terms where debtors or shareholders of the target firm are forced to accept it because there are no better options. It commonly occurs when the target firm goes through a financial difficulty.
