CREDIT SCORING
Statistical analysis, done by lenders and financial institutions, to evaluate an individual’s creditworthiness. Since it is based on an actual data, it is frequently considered more accurate over qualitative assessment of an individual’s creditworthiness. These institutions use credit scoring to determine whether they would offer additional credit or extend their existing credit. The score ranges from 300 to 850 where 850 is the highest credit rating possible.
