CURRENCY TRANSLATION
Act of quoting the amount of money denominated in one currency into the value of another currency in the balance sheet. Done using current exchange rates, it is especially significant for multinational companies operating in areas with various local currencies. The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) in the United States require such corporations to list down all its assets and liabilities, in terms of its local currency.
