DIVIDEND ROLLOVER PLAN
Investment strategy in which a dividend-paying stock is acquired prior to its ex-dividend date, giving the buyer the right on the payment and the position being sold off after ex-dividend date. The practice aims to realize the dividends’ value while dividing the shares equally. It is designed to optimize short-term return on shares while reducing perils. Also called dividend capture strategy.
