DOW JONES STOXX 50

Stock index representing 50 of the biggest firms in the eurozone according to market capitalization. The aggregate of the 18 Dow Jones STOXX 600 Supersector indices is the stock universe used for selection, encompassing around 95% of the capitalization of the major stock exchanges in 18 European nations. First reported in 1998, the index is reconstituted annually and its weightings are changed quarterly to account for proportional changes in the underlying company market caps.
