DOWN-MARKET CAPTURE RATIO
Statistical gauge of an investment manager’s overall performance during declining markets. The ratio also evaluates the manager’s performance relative to the index when the index drops. It is computed by dividing the manager’s returns by the index’s returns (in times of down market), then multiplying it by 100.
