DUOPOLY
Situation in which two firms own all or almost all of the market for a specific product or service. The most basic type of oligopoly, it is a market dominated by a little number of firms. An illegal practice in the United States, this can also affect the market as monopoly if two players conspire on prices or output. As a result, the consumers will pay higher prices than they would in a real competitive market.
