SENSEX
Sensex is the abbreviation for the index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that is the Bombay Sensitive Index. In 1986, the Sensex was initially compiled and this is why it is considered as the oldest stock index in India. The Sensex consists of 30 stocks which happen to be the largest and most actively-traded in the BSE.
