EARNINGS POWER VALUE - EPV
Method for valuing stocks by making an assumption on the sustainability of present earnings and the cost of capital but presuming no additional growth. To get the EPV, divide adjusted earnings by the cost of capital. While the formula is simple, seeking the adjusted earnings may be difficult and must account operating earnings, depreciation, taxation adjustments, and the like.
