ERASURE GUARANTEE
Guarantee made by a financial institution or stock exchange backing the accuracy and legitimacy of alteration made to bonds and/or securities. Frequently used in transferring securities, it is similar to a notary public but it should be made by an accredited institution. When an individual shows physical notes or share certificates to prove his ownership, special care is taken to make sure these documents have no corrections or erasures, particularly when substantial amount of money is involved.
