EUROPEAN INVESTMENT BANK - EIB
European Union’s non-profit institution which makes loans and guarantees, provides technical assistance, and gives venture capital for business projects to implement the union’s policy objectives. Founded in 1958, the Luxembourg-based bank is comprised of 27 EU countries. While 90% of European Investment Bank (EIB) lending happens within the union, 10% appears in outside markets including Iceland and Southeast Europe.
