EXIT OPTION
Embedded option within a project allowing a company to abort operations at little or no cost. Normally, this can be exercised following significant developments occurred within a project. Like any other option, it must be bought at a cost accounted into the capital budgeting decision but its value is not decided by the asset’s price.
