EXOTIC MORTGAGE
Home loan offering lower monthly payments in the first few years but considered high-risk due to its difficult terms and higher future payments. Individuals frequently use exotic mortgages to purchase more costly homes than they could afford. Homeowners may also refinance into these mortgages to lessen monthly payments. Also called non-traditional mortgages, it comprises a small part of the mortgage market.
