EXTRAORDINARY REDEMPTION
Provision giving a bond issue the right to call its bonds due to an unusual one-time incident indicated in the offering statement. Also called extraordinary calls, it occur either when bond proceeds aren’t disbursed according to schedule, used in a manner making nontaxable bond interest taxable, or a catastrophe damages the projects being funded, among others.
