GENERALLY ACCEPTED AUDITING STANDARDS - GAAS
Set of systematic guidelines for auditing private firms, specifically their finances, to ensure accuracy, consistency, and validity of auditors’ activities and reports. GAAS are divided into three categories: general standards, standards of fieldwork, and standards of reporting. It aims to minimize the possibility of missing material details.
