GREGG L. ENGLES

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dean Foods Co. (formerly Suiza Foods), Dallas-based milk processor and distributor. He is best known for consolidating the dairy industry. Along with his business partners, they started with the purchase of Suiza Dairy and Velda Farms, in 1993 and 1994, respectively. Two years after, they conceived Suiza Foods Corp. by merging the dairy forms with their packaged ice company, Reddy Ice Group. But they sold the ice firm in 1998 to concentrate on diary. With $1 billion sales in 1997 and dozens of acquisitions, Suiza Foods became a key force in the industry. Suiza acquired Dean Foods Company in 2001 and started operating under its name.
