International convention created by representatives, usually central bankers or finance ministers, from 22 countries. Announced by APEC leaders in 1977, these representatives gather to create strategies on global finance. The group also aims to stabilize the global financial systems and evade worldwide economic crises through cooperation and foreign policies.
