GROWING-EQUITY MORTGAGE
Mortgage with fixed interest rate in which monthly payments increase over time, based on a fixed schedule. The rate on the loan is constant and never has any negative amortization. The first payment is a fully amortizing payment. As the payments escalate, the additional amount over and beyond what would be a fully amortizing payments goes directly to the principal on the mortgage, decreasing the life of the mortgage and increasing interest savings.
