GUT SPREAD
Option strategy designed by buying or selling an in-the-money placed at the same time as an in-the-money call. Option traders use long gut spreads in occurrences where they believe the underlying stock will shift significantly but are uncertain whether it will be up or down. Conversely, a short gut spread is used when the underlying stock is not anticipated to make any eventful change.
