IMPACT DAY
Day on which a company starts making a secondary offering of its shares. It denotes a firm’s total number of outstanding shares increases. Therefore, existing shareholders will have a smaller percentage of the firm and earnings per share will be lessened. As a result, the stock price may decrease on or shortly after the impact day.
