IMPLICIT RENTAL RATE
Opportunity costs a company incurs for using its own assets in ongoing operations, instead of other uses. It can either be more than or less than the company’s capital cost. If the rate is lesser than the firm’s capital cost, most likely the firm won’t be able to stay much longer in business.
