INHERITANCE
All or portion of an individual’s estate or assets given to specified descendant(s) in the will once he or she dies. Normally, it is a cash endowment given to inheritors of the deceased. But it also refers to stock certificates or real estate. In the absence of will at the time of death, determining the rightful heirs of the deceased’s estate becomes more complicated.
