INITIAL INTEREST RATE
Initial interest rate or first interest rate on an adjustable rate mortgage. It will be forced for a limited time period, usually between 12 and 24 months. After the time window is closed, the rate will reset itself to an index plus spread value bigger than the initial rate. Also known as teaser rate.
