INSURANCE UNDERWRITER
Financial professional that examines the perils of insuring a particular individual or asset and uses the information to fix premium pricing for insurance policies. Insurance companies employ these underwriters to determine the price of a life insurance, health insurance, homeowners insurance, and property/casualty insurance, among others. This professional uses computer programs and actuarial figures to know the possibility and magnitude of a payout over the life of an insurance policy.
