INTEREST RATE PARITY
A theory which states the difference between interest rate in two countries is equivalent to the difference between the forward exchange and the spot exchange rates. It has a vital role in foreign exchange markets, connecting interest rates, and foreign exchange and spot exchange rates. For instance, when an investor makes two fixed investments in the United States and the United Kingdom, the return on both investments are similar although interest rates may differ in absolute terms.
